Hey there! Welcome to my corner of the digital universe!
My name is Fladwel Rawinji – a Visual Artist, Development Practitioner & Sustainability Champion currently based in Nairobi, Kenya.
I blend the worlds of art, design and data with development practice – promoting systems thinking and innovation in driving sustainability and resilience.
With over a decade of experience as a creative and design consultant with a passion for sustainable development, I have dedicated my career to working primarily with mission-driven individuals and organizations across Africa and beyond. My journey has been driven by a deep-seated belief that creativity and innovation, when harnessed effectively, can be a powerful catalyst for positive social change.
My professional background spans various roles in art, visual communication, creative & design consulting, and development practice. As the founder of Rawinji Studio – a dynamic creative & design studio – I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients, from startups and SMEs to non-profits and large enterprises. Our mission is simple yet profound: we help brands tell their unique stories, engage their audiences, and achieve meaningful growth while contributing to a better world.
I currently work as Head of Creative Industries program at Finn Church Aid, where I support program teams in multiple country offices globally to develop innovative and impactful programs that help underserved populations to build sustainable livelihoods through the creative industries.
I am a human-rights defender, committed to rights-based empowerment of youth, women, and displaced/ underprivileged communities.
Beyond my work with organisations, I am passionately and deeply involved in personal projects that promote sustainability and human rights. I am a board member at JENGE Kulture, a non-profit and community of Pan-African creators using art and creativity to promote social change.
Thank you for visiting my site, and I look forward to connecting with you!
