Mi Ni Patriot Trivia Game

About this Project

The Challenge

Kenya's Constitution of 2010 establishes an important framework for governance, rights, responsibilities and democratic participation. Yet constitutional knowledge can be difficult to engage with - particularly for young people accustomed to highly interactive and socially driven forms of communication.

The design challenge was to explore how play, competition, social interaction and entertainment could become vehicles for civic learning and engagement.

About the Game

Mi Ni Patriot (Katiba Edition) is an interactive trivia card game that transforms learning the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 into an exciting, competitive and memorable experience.

The game was developed as part of a development communication action research project exploring how game-based learning could contribute to improved civic awareness among Kenya's Gen-Z youth.
